Self-paced, instructor-led “sexual attitude restructuring” (SAR) program for professional counselors, educators, social workers, and others who seek a wider understanding of human sexual behavior, function, and enrichment; and gender diversity. The student will be asked to respond to the material personally as well as consider it professionally.
This course is self-paced, making use of materials, handouts, reading lists, explicit media, home study, experiential exercises, group discussions, and recorded video lectures.
Monthly live webinar discussions are included in the program—no extra charge to participants of the course. (Non-students can attend individual live webinars for $20 per session.)
One 30-min. private webinar or Skype meeting with the instructor is also included in your tuition. This 46-hour course expands on The Essence of Intimacy, a “mini-SAR” presented by Dr. Amy Marsh at the American Counseling Association conference Learning Institutes in 2009 and 2010.
Learning Objective: Participants will broaden and deepen their understanding of human sexuality and gender expression. SAR programs typically promote sex-positive, nonjudgmental growth and learning for helping professionals. Personal and professional growth includes experiential, intuitive, and academic processes.
